Wherever you go, there you are.

Someone once said, “Wherever you go, there you are.”

From a spiritual perspective, this reminds me that, no matter where we take ourselves, no matter in how many ways we distract ourselves, whatever decisions we make for our life direction moving forward… we will still always have to face ourselves and our internal environment, our unprocessed baggage, how we feel about ourselves and what it feels like to be us…

Where we take ourselves:

We may want to go on a holiday, move house/State/Country…  Nothing wrong with taking a break from our environments or packing up and moving to what we perceive to be a better place right? The problem is that our emotional baggage comes right along with us.

The change of environment and any hurdles we have to navigate in order to make it happen, as well as the excitement of what a new beginning may bring, will not alleviate us of what we carry unaddressed day to day, that causes us to live out certain behavioural patterns and shapes our responses to stressors in our lives, which may or may not serve our highest good.

For example, we may be tired of our current homes because they are cluttered, messy, full of things which hold sentimental value or things we think we may find a use for one day. Things we can’t let go of.  We potentially get up every morning to a feeling of overwhelm at the first site of all our stuff.

Or our homes are pristine, minimalist and uncluttered but feel dull, uninviting, cold, hard, uninteresting… etc, where we don’t feel “at home” in our own homes.

Similarly, we may feel overwhelmed or not at home, within our lives.

For many, the solution may seem to be to move house.  “Life will be better when I move to a different place…” and sometimes this may be the case, as environmental factors which are out of our control may be intolerable BUT how about we address the issues that contribute to us feeling the way we do and that cause us to live the way we do and create the environments that we do.  We can bring physical change to our homes, sure but more often what we would benefit most from is to forge change within ourselves.

Often, if we simply move house, without fostering change within ourselves, in time we will create the same environment/feeling we are wanting to leave behind, within our new homes.

How we distract ourselves:

The modern world continues to supply us with an endless array of things to distract or busy ourselves, as well as our own internal propensities which drive unmoderated behaviours due to unresolved internal issues.

Social media, internet, phones, pornography, sex, exercise, social engagements, dating, cleaning, food, work/career, being a useful friend or an over achiever… etc the list is endless.

Any one of these done in excess, serves to distract us from ourselves.

The thing is, that the moment we have a moment to ourselves, whether it’s through the day or when we lay down to sleep, we may be confronted with all of our unaddressed internal stuff.

We unconsciously reach for activity/engagement outside of ourselves. The distraction they provide gives us momentary relief but in fact we are not dealing with the very things that would give us more permanent and frequent feelings of happiness and peace.

Others experience the opposite and feel completely unmotivated. Their internal fire has been quashed with everything that overwhelms them.. with only barely enough energy to do what they perceive they absolutely have to get done in any moment.

Either way, whether by distraction or debilitating overwhelm, they are unable to see the woods for the trees.

The life changing decisions we make:

Often our biggest challenges in life are represented by the people we have within our lives.

We all want to have a sense of family, community, a social network and support network, both within our personal lives and our work lives.

We may find ourselves unconsciously over investing in the people around us, in order to attain this.

Over investing can look like: making sure we’re completely accomodating and amiable at all times, often due to a need to be liked and loved; making sure we are a useful friend or colleague, hoping that others will see our value and want to engage with us more frequently because they see our value and intent, with the hope of reciprocation if we are ever in need of similar support.

This can set us up to feel used and abused, when anyone does not seem to be reciprocating the loyalty and support that has been afforded to them.

Others may be more motivated to only engage with others to the degree they perceive is necessary in order to get what they need in any given moment. This may be because they have trust/vulnerability issues etc…

These are two ends of the pendulem swing and humans are dynamic creatures who will exhibit different behaviours depending on the variables/situation at the time.

Either way, when other peoples’ behaviours fall short of our usually unexpressed or assumed expectations, it causes pain or disappointment which may encourage us to reassess that person’s value in our lives because inevitably we are encouraged to assess their intent towards us.

People quit their jobs, end relationships and friendships etc with differing degrees of attempts to resolve issues at first.

Often this is necessary as we realise that certain people do not resonate with our values/approach to relationships or our intent towards others.  But in order to stop a repeating cycle or pattern, it’s in our best interest to assess our role within these exchanges.  What is our contribution to this recurring situation?  What do we do that contributes to this pattern?  What are our true motivations and what drives us to play these roles?  What do we need to moderate or resolve within ourselves that attracts these types of situations so that we can experience better relationships moving forward?

Every time, we are left to deal with our own emotions and have to deal with ourselves, often leading to us seeking distractions from ourselves and basically making drastic life changing knee jerk reactions, instead of processing our internal stuff.

The answer is Inner Reflection:

How do we break old patterns of behaviour which keep landing us in unfavourable situations?

Inner reflection is a powerful tool when done correctly.

We need to be willing to go within.  To look within ourselves and be honest with ourselves.

We need to be willing to bravely assess the fundamental motivations for all of our actions.  To look at what has been too uncomfortable to look at before.

Life isn’t about always expecting to be completely happy and satisfied with every exchange, interaction or outcome. It’s more about experiencing everything we’ve come here to experience and learning about ourselves through every challenge.

Through self reflection, with every challenge we face, we become more and more refined, knowledgable, brave and more capable of accepting and giving more love.

When we address our internal issues and cause change within ourselves, we change the way we feel about ourselves, we change what it feels like to be us and then we are infinitely more equipped to change our lives to serve our highest good.

How Session can help:

In each of the themes listed above, the common denominator is a sense of separation.

In life today, especially with all its technology, we have the potential ability to connect with many people very easily, yet somehow often we can feel more alone than ever.  Whereas, in fact, we are never alone.

We have Spiritual Guides whose job it is to impart practical wisdom, clarity and insight into our daily living.

We have all our beloved pets and loved ones who have passed over, who watch us and try to help us reach our full potential.   No matter how challenging the journey and no matter how much we f things up, they stand by us in support of our continued refinement and learning, no matter how painful the lessons may be.

I respectfully refer to them as Spirit, as well as the amazing creative force and Divine intelligence which forms the fabric of our existence.

No one knows what it feels like to be you. But Spirit does.

The fact is that if we don’t face ourselves and look within to process and address our internal issues, including taking responsibility for our behaviours, we cannot expect to ever be free of them.

Wherever we go, we will always have to face ourselves.

The multifaceted processes experienced in Session, gently unlocks and unfolds the layers of trauma within us and addresses our internal dialogue, feelings and thoughts, leading to more clarity and understanding, self empowerment and drive to become a fuller, stronger clearer expression of ourselves, with the aim of realising our higher potential.

Most of this is done verbally but additionally, the energy work that is done within the Energy Realignment session and the Energy Intensive session, relieves us of any stagnancy and quietly propels us forward along our evolutionary path, giving us the drive and strength to assimilate new learnings and create beneficial change within our lives with mental clarity and emotional maturity, from the inside, out.  There is also great potential for increased physical self healing and deep relaxation, as the body is flooded with Divine Life Force.

Wherever you go, there you are!

AUTUMN CLEANSE

Some of this knowledge comes from my time spent learning from and working with a remarkable woman by the name of Amanda Davey many years ago, some from my knowledge of the Tarot Cards and the rest is being channeled as I type.  I trust it will be of benefit to you.

The cooler weather is here and many of us may be preparing to batten down the hatches... reaching for winter woolies and warmth... comfort in food and clothing and in each other... preservation of energy to help us get through the winter to come...

I'm here to tell you to do things differently this Autumn and see what a difference it can make for you!

The end of Autumn (The Winter Solstice b/w June 20 and June 23 for the Southern Hemisphere) marks the end of the year for Mother Nature and the beginning of a new year with the beginning of Winter.

The Autumn Equinox (March 20/21) which marks the beginning of Autumn for Mother Nature has well and truly passed us by as we've just today stepped into the new month of May. That gives us approximately 7 more weeks of Autumn.  That's 7 more weeks to get done what we need to in order to prepare for the year ahead!!  Does that get your adrenals going?!  It should!  That's what this time of year is all about!  Being driven, feeling the charge, being resolute in doing what we have to do, NOW, to hold us in better stead for the future.

The Tarot Card which encapsulates the essence of this potentially powerful season is The Death Card.  Among many other things, The Death Card can represent a time of us benefiting from past efforts and moving forward from our current position.  It can represent the death of old patterns/behaviours which may no longer serve us, to make room for new patterns/behaviours which will support us in achieving our desires and goals.  It can represent the decision to take action and make a move to bring about change in our lives.  This is change that we consciously bring about, through actions/behaviours that make a difference to our lives.

A Time To Reap:

We've all been working away throughout the past 10 months, towards achieving our goals.  We've had seeds of thought/inspiration/aspiration, taken time to become conscious of our emotions regarding these thoughts, pondered and discussed these thoughts and feelings and then taken action towards making those initial seeds of thought a reality.

Autumn is a time when farmers reap and gather the benefits of their crops and harvest.  A time to prepare and begin to replenish the soil for new crops.  It's a time for us to gather our energies and replenish our bodies so we take solid steps towards making our dreams or desires a reality.

Take a moment to sit back and reflect on the past 10 months and take stock of resources (energy, finances, equipment, people...) you currently have available to you.  Perhaps you could write them down, make a list for clarity sake.

A Time Of Death:

Autumn is a time when Mother Nature takes a breath and drops away old leaves to allow for replenishment of energies and make way for new growth and prosperity.  Similarly it's a time when we can let go of things that have served us to get to where we are to make room for what we need, to get to where we want to be.

Let go of what no longer serves you!  Make room for that which will better serve you!

Forget about 'Spring Cleaning' for now and focus on some good old fashioned 'Autumn Cleansing'!

Go through all of your clothing, photos, papers, nic nacs around the house and garden and apply the following process.

Take a deep, long slow breath, in through your nose, right into your belly and gently out through your nose again.  Feel your shoulders drop with your out breath and take your focus to your belly.

Decide on what feels right to focus on first.  Let's say you decide first to focus on your clothing.

As you pick up an item of clothing, check in with your self by being conscious of how you feel when you first focus on it.  See whether it gives you a Negative, Neutral or Positive feeling in your gut.

At this point you may decide whether you'd like to keep everything that registers as Neutral or Positive and let go of everything that registers as Negative or whether you'd like to release all that register as Neutral or Negative and only keep the Positive.  It's completely up to you and you can always revisit this process as many times as you'd like 'till you feel you've accomplished a proper Autumn Cleanse.

A Time to Clear:

As you gather your piles of objects that no longer serve you, the next stage is to get rid of them.  As you do this, please keep in mind your environmental impact and responsibility to Mother Nature and the greater community by focusing on Recycling Services and Charity Organisations.

Just like the leaves are dropped by the trees which then serve to replenish the soil, our objects of old can be used or reused to replenish the greater community.

Once you've taken a look at all of your 'objects', sit down and take some time to have a look within yourself.  Think back to when you've perhaps had moments of discord or when things haven't quite gone right over the past 10 months.  Ask yourself, how did my behaviours/reactions not serve me in those times? Become conscious of the actions and interactions of the past and be prepared to commit to letting go of old behaviours/patterns which no longer serve you in being the best person you can be.  Only good can come of this.  Be honest and brave.  Write it down, audio tape yourself or film yourself having this conversation with yourself if it will help.

The same can be applied to the question: Where and on whom have I been placing my energies?  Does it continue to serve me or those I love and cherish?  This is where you can look at and assess your place of employment, how you spend your energies there and at home, on friends and family and in your relationships.  If you can see where you may be misplacing your intent, your energy, your focus, it's time to be more conscious and be prepared to let go of old patterns and perhaps relationships (gently and respectfully) that no longer serve you or those you love and cherish.

Similarly, it's time to replenish the body.  Become more conscious of patterns in regard to your life style, eating habits and exercise regime (or lack thereof).  Release any patterns which do not serve you to be the best you can be!

Autumn Cleanse your guts too!  Consciously increase your fibre and water intake daily and literally 'let go' of that which no longer serves your body!

A Time Of Action:

As much as the cooler weather and winds may make us feel that we want to retreat into the warmth and preserve our energy, Autumn is a time to get out there and be resolute about the actions mentioned above, completing things unfinished and the implementation of new resolves.  Don't shut down!  Step up and move forward.  Have a good look at what you don't like about Your Life, Your Self and Your Body and do what you have to do to make a change!  NOW! Complete things, Clear things, Make room for New Energy, New People, New Habits, New Life!

So have you worked out yet that Autumn is all about CHANGE?  That we have to LET GO in order to MOVE FORWARD?  That in order to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in our lives and in the world we have to remain CONNECTED with our 'Selves' and become more CONSCIOUS of everything we THINK, FEEL, DISCUSS and DO?!
